Early Fall Canada Goose Season Set

July 2, 2015 | By: SD GFP

The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks’ (GFP) Commission set the 2015 early fall Canada goose hunting season at their July meeting this week.

The early fall Canada goose season runs from Sept. 1 -30, 2015, with a daily limit of 15 and a possession limit of 45, and is open in Unit 1 only.

The one change to the early fall Canada goose season closes parts of Minnehaha and Lincoln counties and includes these areas in Canada goose Unit 2. This change allows for hunting Canada geese in the Sioux Falls area to occur later in the season.
